Please let us know if you would like to be involved and help. hi Mark I was thinking about the content. I assume from my discussion with Anna Parisi that they don't know much about videobridge. But it is very possible they are aware of the potential of teleconferencing. So here we are again. The question remains. I think I know now what Franz's vision is. But is that what we will communicate to these people who are educators? So do you agree to start discussing the content? 1. application of videobridge in education 1a. live communication (teleconference) 1b asynchronous (on-line platform for discussions/sharing of resources/?) 2. technical requirements (staff/ equipment/ back-up support) 3. video resources (bank of educational videos?) 4. ? The SEETA people are currently running an on-line course which they call "what I wanna know...". In this course teachers members of SEETA ask questions and the person who has introduced a topic either answers directly or recommends an expert in the field to help. I suppose we can work in this way. Once they gain some knowledge, we can start talking about helping them stream their conference and expand their audience by videobridging. Tell me what you think! Marina Will you write to Yora and check if she likes to be involved in the venture? thanks -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... It will bring together people from the Landau region and from other European countries, who are active in different fields. The project aims to achieve new ideas, impulse and motivation to all participants. The night event After the study day on voluntarism at Landau University (Friday, 6th May) and as a contrast to the following ?Tag der Vereine? in the center of Landau, a night event will trace and problematize the border between voluntarism, art and activism. Both art and activism are voluntary work, for the most part, since in most cases they are not paid, but neither they are recognized or gratified for being volunteering. Existing at that limit they expose and negotiate the regime of visibility enforced by the system on both art and activism as practices and on the topics and phenomena, they engage in. This limit is constitutive to these three fields as they all are based on communication, i.e. on being-in-common. Additional opportunities Artists and Activists present might also use the opportunity for exhibitions in the centre of Landau during the 4 days event. A workshop on ?Voluntarism, Arts and Activism? during the University day or public discussions during the ?Tag der Vereine? are possible. Join us! As you remember we talked about applying for a study visit, but missed the dates. Now I receiive an invitation from our previous lead partner in the MIR - Project, The adult education center (Volkshochschule) in Kronach, Germany. I know that they are on the same track as we are. I talked to Heint about forwarding this. This is especially interesting for all the people in our group that have to do with teachers and schools (Abdullah, Matz, Marina, Julija) Problem: each national agency will choose the participants and I think they have only 16 places, but the program is almost unknown. if you really consider to participate its important to show how you influence decisions in the school system in your country By the way: study visit offerings september to february 2012 have been decided in october 2010 - so we are way too late to do our own thing soon. Franz ----- Urspr?ngliche Nachricht ----- >From Heinz Tischler to the MIR group. Dear all, I hope everybody is doing well, even that times are not getting easier and we all have to battle the prevailing circumstances. Looking back, there are - at least for me - still good memories of the MIR-project: wouldn't it be nice to have an opportunity to meet again? We (our vhs) will host a CEDEFOP study visit in October 2011 that deals with "Use of ICT in learning: new learning approaches by using digital learning resources".
